Manila's bayfront casino landmark — a vast gaming floor, premium table games, and Sky suites overlooking Parañaque Bay. Scored 9.1 out of 10 by Honestscopelabs.
Opened in 2013 as the first integrated resort in Manila's Entertainment City, Solaire Resort Entertainment City set the template for Philippine luxury casino hospitality. Two curved glass towers rise above Manila Bay, housing over 800 rooms and suites, a vast casino floor, and a curated collection of restaurants.
What surprised us most was the discipline. Where many large casino resorts trade on scale alone, Solaire pairs its size with genuinely attentive service, a well-run gaming floor, and a table games programme that holds its own against regional rivals in Singapore and Macau.
This review reflects a paid, on-site editorial visit by Honestscopelabs. No part of our stay was comped, and Solaire had no editorial input.
We stayed in a Premium Bayview room on a high floor. The footprint is generous, the bedding is genuinely five-star, and floor-to-ceiling windows frame Manila Bay's sunset — one of the better room views in any Asian casino hotel we've reviewed.
Sky Suites, the property's top tier, add butler service, private check-in, and access to the Sky Living lounge. Bathrooms are marble-clad with deep soaking tubs and separate rain showers. Soundproofing is excellent, which is no small feat given the casino below.
Housekeeping was consistent across our three-night stay, and turn-down service was discreet rather than theatrical — exactly as it should be.
The casino at Solaire is the resort's beating heart. The main floor runs the full length of the podium, with over 200 table games and more than 1,200 electronic gaming machines. Crucially, the floor never feels cramped — aisle widths are generous and the air handling is excellent for a property of this size.
The table games programme is where Solaire distinguishes itself. Baccarat dominates, as expected in the Philippine market, but the variety extends to blackjack, roulette (both European and American), pai gow, sic bo, and a healthy poker room with cash games and regular tournaments.
Dealers were professional and consistent across our sessions, and the high-limit VIP salons — accessed via invitation — offer the discretion that serious table games players expect. Limits on the main floor start low enough to welcome new players, which we appreciate in a casino that could easily cater only to high rollers.
The table games count and variety place Solaire among the strongest casino floors in Southeast Asia. Below is what we found during our visit.
Solaire's dining is a genuine strength. Strip Steakhouse delivers properly dry-aged cuts with a wine list that takes itself seriously, while Red Lantern offers refined modern Chinese cuisine that rivals anything in Manila's standalone fine-dining scene.
The property also houses a Japanese outlet, an Italian trattoria, and a generous international buffet that, unlike many casino buffets, holds its quality across service. The Lounge offers live entertainment nightly — jazz-leaning and tasteful rather than loud.
For a casino resort, the dining here is unusually cohesive: every outlet feels like it belongs to the same hotel, rather than a collection of leased spaces.
The freeform pool deck is one of Solaire's quiet triumphs — large, well-serviced, and oriented toward the bay sunset. Cabanas are available, and the service from pool attendants was attentive without being intrusive.
The spa and fitness centre are comprehensive, though not quite at the level of the property's dining. Location is a genuine strength: Entertainment City is a short drive from NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport), and the resort is well-connected to Makati and Bonifacio Global City.
The immediate neighbourhood is still developing — expect construction cranes alongside the bay views — but within the resort itself, the experience is self-contained and polished.

Solaire Resort Entertainment City is, in our honest assessment, the strongest integrated casino resort in the Philippines. It pairs genuine scale with discipline — a rare combination — and its table games programme, dining, and bayfront accommodation together justify a place on any serious luxury casino traveller's shortlist.
The shortcomings are real but minor: a spa that trails the rest of the property, a neighbourhood still finding its feet, and weekend crowding on the casino floor. None of it changes our overall verdict.
Solaire's casino is restricted to adults aged 21 and over in the Philippines. Gambling can be addictive. If gambling affects you or someone you know, contact a licensed support service. Honestscopelabs receives no payment from Solaire or any casino operator.
