A riverside landmark on the Swan River, pairing a refined casino with exclusive baccarat rooms, championship golf, and one of Australia's most acclaimed luxury hotel towers. Scored 8.8 out of 10.
Crown Towers Perth sits on a bend of the Swan River in Burswood, a short drive from the Perth CBD. Opened in 2016 as the premium tower of the broader Crown Perth complex, it brought a new tier of luxury to Western Australia's only licensed casino.
Where Solaire impresses with scale, Crown Towers Perth impresses with restraint. The tower is smaller, the public spaces quieter, and the casino floor more curated than cavernous. This is a casino hotel for guests who value discretion as much as the gaming itself.
Our review is based on a paid editorial stay. Crown had no advance notice of our visit and no editorial input.
We stayed in a Riverside Room on a high floor. The design is contemporary-Australian luxury — warm timbers, soft neutrals, and a marble bathroom with a deep bath positioned toward the river view. The bed is among the most comfortable we've encountered in any casino hotel.
The Pearl Suites, the tower's signature tier, add separate living areas, butler service, and access to the Pearl Club lounge — a quiet, well-staffed refuge away from the casino floor. Soundproofing is exceptional.
Housekeeping was flawless across our four-night stay. Turn-down was timed to our evening dining plans without us asking, which speaks to a well-trained team.
The Crown Perth casino is Western Australia's only licensed casino, and the table games floor reflects that monopoly with quiet confidence rather than swagger. The main floor offers blackjack, roulette, baccarat, pai gow, and a poker room that hosts regular cash games and the occasional tournament series.
What sets Crown apart is the Pearl Room — an invitation-only premium gaming salon with private baccarat rooms, dedicated dealers, and a level of discretion that serious table games players travel specifically for. The Riverside Room offers a similar tier for high-limit play.
Dealers were uniformly professional, and the floor staff struck the right balance between attentive and unobtrusive. The table games variety is narrower than Solaire's, but the quality of execution is, if anything, higher.
Crown Perth's table games programme is smaller than its Asian peers but executed with notable polish. Below is what we found during our visit.
Crown Towers Perth's dining is anchored by Rockpool Bar & Grill — Neil Perry's flagship — which alone justifies a visit for serious carnivores. Nobu Perth delivers the expected polished Japanese-Peruvian standards, and the broader complex offers everything from casual Asian to a well-run buffet.
The Lobby Bar is a genuinely beautiful room for a quiet drink, and the complex's theatre hosts touring productions and concerts. For a casino resort in a relatively small market, the entertainment calendar is surprisingly busy.
Service across outlets was warm in that distinctly Western Australian way — professional without being stiff.
The Laguna pool area is the resort's recreational centrepiece — a multi-level deck with private cabanas, multiple pools, and a relaxed bar service. It feels more like a resort than a casino hotel amenity, which we appreciated.
The spa is comprehensive and genuinely excellent, and the attached championship golf course is a real draw for travelling players. Location is a strength: Burswood is minutes from the Perth CBD, the airport, and the Optus Stadium.
The only caveat is that the broader Crown Perth complex is large and somewhat sprawling, so navigating between the towers, casino, and dining requires some walking — though staff are happy to arrange buggies.

Crown Towers Perth is the most refined casino hotel in Australia — a property that earns its rating through quality rather than scale. The Pearl Room alone makes it a serious destination for table games players who value discretion, and the accommodation, dining, and spa are all genuinely world-class.
The narrower table games variety and the sprawling complex hold it back from a higher score, but for the right guest — one who prizes quiet luxury over spectacle — Crown Towers Perth is exceptional.
Crown Perth's casino is restricted to adults aged 18 and over in Western Australia. Gambling can be addictive. If gambling affects you or someone you know, contact Gambling Help WA on 1800 858 858 or a licensed support service. Honestscopelabs receives no payment from Crown or any casino operator.
